Looking Unto Jesus: The Glorified Christ

Speaker:
Passage: Revelation 1:9-18

Bible Text: Revelation 1:9-18 | Speaker: Michael Kenley | If you close your eyes and try to picture what Jesus looks like, what do you see? Is He the Baby in the manger? Is He the Savior on the cross? In the first chapter of Revelation, John sees a vision of the risen Jesus, one “like the Son of Man,” who declares Himself to be the “Alpha and the Omega.” His eyes are like fire and His face shines like the sun. When John sees Jesus in his glorified form he falls down like a dead man. The glorified Christ is awesome, blazing, powerful, and yet He lays His hand upon John and says “Fear not.” This is our Lord, dressed in royal and priestly garments and holding the church in His hand. Consider with us Revelation 1:9-18 and look upon the Son of Man that John saw!
