Latest Prayer, Praise Report from John Metzger & Sharon Metzger – Missionaries with Ariel USA, North Carolina – July 2, 2021
Praise Reports :
We praise the Lord
• For very good meetings with other Jewish missions at the Lausanne Consultation for Jewish Evangelism (LCJE) in Dallas, TX
• That the Spanish edition of God in Eclipse has been published by Ariel’s Publishing Department
• For safety in my travel to Dallas
• For the safety of Sharon and her sister as the Lord protected them when they had a blowout on their way to Indiana
• That I was able to purchase new tires for Sharon’s car
• That I had the opportunity to visit a church in Texarkana, TX, with an open invitation to speak there in December
• For Bob and Noemi Fraser who allowed me to stay at their King’s Canyon Cottage in Arizona
• For Ariel’s editor-in-chief, Christiane, as she goes through the huge work of editing the Old Testament part of the Study Bible
• For good response from churches that I spoke to in Montana and Iowa
• For 53 years of marriage!
• Pray that one of the contacts I made at the LCJE would be willing to translate God in Eclipse into Hebrew.
• Please pray for open doors in the Spanish speaking world as I am contacting Jewish and other missions about using the translation of God in Eclipse and other Ariel material.
• Please continue to pray for traveling safety in my travels from Iowa and Nebraska to Ohio and on to Ariel’s School of Messianic Jewish Studies at the Shoshanah Campus before returning home in mid-July.
• Also pray for my wife Sharon that she will have no additional vehicle problems on her return trip home.
• Ariel’s editor-in-chief asked me to create a chart for the commentary on Isaiah. This chart is supposed to track all levels of prophecies mentioned by the prophet. The chart will also be used in the Study Bible. Please pray for this very challenging work.
• Please pray for the second part of the Study Bible on the New Testament.
• On my way to the Shoshanah Campus and on the way home, I will be speaking in several churches and will be attending several conferences. Please pray for good contacts.
• When my writing projects are done, I am planning on establishing a teaching ministry via the Internet. I already have a domain name, but will need someone with good technical skills to help set up the website and maintain it. The plan is to teach through the Bible verse by verse from a Messianic Jewish perspective in order to counter the rise of anti-Semitism and false teaching regarding Israel
(In accordance with the Guidelines, Suggestions, and Recommendations of the Harford County Government, Maryland Department of Health, Governor’s Executive Order, and the Center for Disease Control)
