This is our current plan which will be adjusted as necessary and needed as we proceed.

Until further notice we will not be having:

Protocols

In accordance with the Guidelines, Suggestions, and Recommendations of the Harford County Government, Maryland Department of Health, and the Center for Disease Control…

We encourage you to refrain from greeting by handshaking or hugging for the foreseeable future. We will have the doors open at this time.

We encourage ‘physical distancing’ as far as possible and reasonable while at and in Fellowship Chapel.

We encourage you, for your and others health and welfare, to use a face covering at all gatherings in compliance with the Governor’s new ‘Executive Order’ going into effect 5 PM on Friday, July 31, 2020 which states in part:
b. Requirement to Wear Face Coverings.
i. . . . all persons in Maryland over the age of five (5) years old are required to wear a Face Covering when they are:
2. indoors at any location where members of the public are generally permitted, including without limitation, Religious Facilities, . . .

We have anti-bacterial soap in our dispensers (we encourage hand washing for 20 seconds!) and will have hand sanitizer available. (We encourage you to bring your own hand sanitizer and use as you enter the building.)

We will not have coffee service for the foreseeable future. We are thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting highly used areas as necessary. We have had our ventilation and filtration system serviced in the last few weeks.

We have spaced our rows so you can sit in any row and we encourage spacing of families (households).

At this time we will not be using Family Connectors, hymnals, or other published materials out of an abundance of caution. We will use our video projection; Website; Facebook; weekly emails; and calling post alerts for communication of Ministry Highlights and Family Updates.

We encourage you if you are showing any symptoms of illness, please remain @ home and utilize virtual venues for the physical health of others. (If @ FC and you sense the need to sneeze or cough, please cover adequately.)

Thanking and appreciating you in advance for your participation!

We will be on presenting on Facebook Live for those who are not able to attend, or may choose not to attend at this time, or who may be vulnerable and in higher risk category. We also will be posting to the Fellowship Chapel YouTube channel sometime following!

If you have any insights / input, please inform us ‘US’ by email chapel3821@msn.com or call 410.557.8859.

In addition to Online Streaming of our Family Worship Celebration (Service) on the weekend, we invite you to check out a new mid-week feature we’re calling ‘Pastor’s Perspective’ a 3 to 5 minute video on YouTube: Fellowship Chapel YouTube

As a symbol of hope in Christ during this time, for our community we have lit our North Harford Community Christmas Tree as others in our nation are doing!

In addition to our current ‘New Normal’ during the COVID-19 Pandemic detailed above, we have decided to safely integrate a plan to partake of Communion! When you enter the Sanctuary we have placed sealed communion and wafer cups on a table in a sanitized manner. (Chris Dawson went over and above in safe preparation. Thank you Chris!) If you plan on partaking, please only touch and take what you plan to use. We are enthused about this opportunity, fully understanding and respecting you and your level of participation!

2020 Grass Cutting Team

It’s that time of year again! Several men who helped with lawn mowing are unable to be on the Team this year so it’s imperative we have some new volunteers!

In particular, we are in need of some who can handle the riding but also the push mowing and the weed eating! This is a great opportunity in this season (summer and pandemic) to serve Christ and FC!

If you can help contact John Somervell.

As a reminder, if you are able, and we understand the difficulty of this season, please mail in any financial gifts you can! We continue to function and support our Missions Team 2020 in this season! I received this personal note to ‘US‘ from one of them this week:  “Hey Mike, wanted to thank you and your leadership team for FC’s recent donation . . .

We understand how financially challenging these times are and appreciate your continued support! Your investment is . . . impacting many! Thank you again . . .!” Beloved, we can only continue with your investment @ FC. If you are able, please mail to: Fellowship Chapel P.O. Box 113, Jarrettsville, MD 21084. Thank you!

Charles Clough has alerted us about two great reports on recent discoveries concerning ‘digital addiction’ among young people that parents need to check on. Digital addiction can be as dangerous to mental and physical health as drug and alcohol addictions. Find the reports here:

It’s ‘digital heroin’: How screens turn kids into psychotic junkies, and

Dr. Marc Siegel: Smartphones really are dangerous for our kids (they put them at risk for suicide and more)
